I’ll never forget the moment when the big boss looked at me as I was leaving work after putting in an almost 12 hour day and said “What? Are you working a half day today?”

That singular statement changed the direction of my life.

Working for NASA at Kennedy Space Center was amazing. I call it my “If I can make it here, I can make it anywhere” job. I managed millions of dollars in advertising, had a full on-site marketing research team, rubbed elbows with celebrities, and worked with astronauts and space explorers.

But, the reality was that I was underpaid and overworked. Because of that, I quit the glamour and prestige of NASA and over a period of two years, became an entrepreneur.

Through entrepreneurship, I have the privilege of impacting the lives of tens of thousands of other business owners every month.

However, I think it’s important that as a member of my community, you know the whole truth about my journey to entrepreneurship including the real life roadblocks, and not just the highlight reel that’s shown on social media.

My hope is that this story will inspire you to keep going forward when you feel like giving up.
